Dakin will be continuing the Simpsons plush line in 2005 and beyond. Whereas many past releases had been released exclusively to places like Hot Topic, they are now planning to move back to more mass marketed releases. As part of this move to mass market releases, they are planning on rereleasing many of the early plushes in the line, like the ones pictured below.
They will also, in addition to single plush releases, be doing many themed box sets. The first one is the planned Krusty Studios set seen below. They will also be doing more holiday sets. Other planned themes revolve around Moe's Tavern (with Moe, Duffman, Barney, and possibly a Duff girl) and the Springfield Elementary classroom.
Finally, there will deluxe releases. A 36" Krusty is being released in Australia. A Homer and Bart in that size are also planned.
These were all of the Simpson plushes on display. Many have been released before in some capacity and may be rereleased. Many of these are new for this year.
These Krustylu-themed plushes will be released as a special box set, except for the Bart w/ Krusty doll which will be a separate release around the same time.
These are the newest Treehouse of Horror plushes, which were announced last year, but will finally see release this year. This may be done as a box set. This consists of Donuthead Homer, Cleopatra Marge, Insane Bart, Liberty Lisa, and Alien Maggie.
These are the planned Christmas plush releases for this year. They will be the Simpsons family as Christmas carolers. They are looking into the possibility of including voice chips that sing (possibly the 'Jingle Bells, Batman Smells' song). Although only Homer and Bart were pictured, the other three Simpson family members will be part of the set.
A special set of teenage Homer and Marge is being released.
The first deluxe plush release is a 36" Krusty.
