Magazine:

Time for another installment of 20 Questions, this time with member The Swan 76.

1. How long have you been watching "The Simpsons"?

I have been watching "The Simpsons" since I started dating my boyfriend (now husband) in 1991.

2. Who is your favorite Simpsons character?

That's a hard question. I usually pick Maggie though because she is as smart as Lisa, but as mischievous as Bart.

3. What Simpsons character are you most like and why?

I hate to admit it, but I am probably most like Marge because she is a mother and spends her time cleaning and taking care of things. That's what I do.

4. Are your friends and family fans of the Simpsons?

My parents would not let us watch it at their house when I was living there. My dad still does not allow it at their house. But all of my siblings are fans. And most of my friends are. And my husband, of course, is the one who got me started on them.

5. What is your favorite quote from a Simpsons episode?

The quote I find myself using the most in my daily life besides the usual "DO'H!" or "Woohoo!" is "I'm livin' in a cuckoo clock!"

6. What types of Simpsons collectibles do you collect?

I don't have the funds to start a WOS collection, but I do have a lot of various Simpsons merchandise. Mostly games. Some books. Pretty much anything I can afford. ... or beg to get.

7. What item in your collection is your favorite?

My Bartman keychain is my favorite. I had it even before I ever watched The Simpsons. My boyfriend gave it to me and I just tossed it in a box somewhere thinking, "Bart? What do I want that for?" Sometime later after I had become a huge Simpsons fan, I went through my boxes and found it. It was the first Simpsons item I owned. I still carry it now with my keys.

8. What is the most outrageous (or difficult) thing you have done to obtain a Simpsons collectible?

Beg for it I guess. "Can I have it? Please! Please! Please! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!

9. What's the most you ever spent on a Simpsons collectible?

I'm not sure because most of the items I own were given to me as gifts. Probably $30. That Homer Santa might have been more though, but it was a gift also.

10. What World of Springfield figure would you most like to see (that has not been announced)?

I don't know. I haven't been following it. Go ahead. Shoot me.

11. Are you a completist? An opener or a MIMP collector? Why?

Why? I'm an opener. I have to play with my toys because it's just fun.

12. What are your favorite television shows (excluding the Simpsons)?

Friends, Seinfeld, Futurama

13. What celebrity do you want to see guest star on the Simpsons?

It's hard to think of someone who hasn't done it before. David Spade maybe? Or Adam Sandler?

14. How and when did you find the SCS site?

I'm sure it was about a year and more ago. I'd go look for my very first post, but it was in the old Noiseland Arcade. I had just gotten into ezboards and I did a search for Simpsons. Simpsons Collector Sector was the first thing that popped up.

15. In what ways do you think the hobby of collecting Simpsons has changed in the past few years?

It may be just because of me being at SCS, but I have been finding it easier to find stuff with The Simpsons on it.

16. What was the first Simpsons item you ever bought?

I don't really remember, but I think it was the book "Bart Simpson's Guide to Life".

17. What is the one Simpsons item you want the most but do not have?

EVERYTHING!!!

18. What else do you collect?

Swans

19. Who influenced you the most from the show (be it character, writer, actor, etc.)?

Homer J. Simpson. He's just the funniest character. I find myself quoting from him most often.

20. Anything you would like to add?

SCS is cool! And that's the end of that chapter.
