February 2000 Pewter Homerisms

Released by Unique Concepts

A series of pewter statues of Homer, each statue features Homer in a different position with a matching inscription on the figurine's base. Each is between 4 and 5 inches tall.

Homerisms:
"D'oh!"
"Maybe for once, someone will call me 'sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene"'
"If something is hard to do, then it's not worth doing"
"Oh, cruel fate. Why do you mock me?"
"To alcohol! The cause of - and solution to - all of life's problems!"
"Every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain."
"You tried your best and failed miserably. The lesson is not to try."

Rocket USA will be distributing the pewter Homerisms in the US soon.

An exclusive "Homerism" was available only through an insert in the "Ready, Steady, D'oh!" UK video. The inscription on that statue reads: "On your marks, get set, D'oh" and the statue features Homer running in a tutu and sandles, to retrieve a hot dog from the Olympic flame with a pointed stick.

Unique Concepts received the "Golden Homey" award in 2001 for it's line of pewter Simpsons products.
