In response to the criticism of Wizard Entertainment Group as summarized in the petition to stop their Simpsons exclusives, Rob Felton, Director of Business Development for Wizard Entertainment Group, has sent a statement out:

" is an entirely separate company from Wizard Entertainment, publisher of ToyFare: The Toy Magazine. is allocated Simpson's figures in the exact same way as every business and consumer that attempts to order our exclusive figures in large quantities. received no special treatment, and no more figures than any other customer of either of the two currently circulating Simpson's Exclusives: Glow in the Dark Radioactive Homer and Pin Pal Mr. Burns. ToyFare has put into place several systems to preclude anyone from getting large quantities of future exclusives, including capping orders both online and via mail-in coupon to three per order. These systems were put in place starting with Boxing Homer, and will continue to be refined to ensure an equal and level playing field for all consumers wishing to purchase our exclusive figures."

We note that some things they did not address were why is so far the only company or individual known to have received Pin Pal Burns from ToyFare already (10 days ago), how is pre-selling Boxing Homer, which is supposed to be limited to 3 per order, and why their price guide listed Pin Pal Burns at $100 before he was even released. There is also the larger issue at stake of whether the production quantities set by Wizard have anything to do with ToyWiz's ability to make more profits on rare figures, in light of the fact that each company is owned by one of the Shamus family.
