In a new interview with IGN.com, Simpsons show runner Al Jean explains the 'delays' in releasing the complete season DVD sets stating that "the current show is the priority. The DVDs can always come out". He reiterates that the releases will always be sporatic as commentaries and features must be done around the cast and crew's busy schedule. The season 4 set is due sometime next year. Thanks to Simpsons Channel for the link.
Member semaj nala has discovered a variation in the placement of the sponge businesscard of the Lionel Hutz action figure. The earlier version of the tray had the card placed lower in the tray.

They haven't be seen in stores yet, but the Simpsons Diecast Cars have shown up on eBay. eBay seller 'thecubster' has all four cars (Homer's car, Marge's car, Wiggum's Police Cruiser, and Springfield School Bus) up with MOC images.
Today is the official release date of the Season 3 DVD, after 54 weeks of waiting since the second set. Sideshow Toys' The Collector mini-bust is now up for pre-order at their site. This bust is a 1,000 piece exclusive to the Sideshow Toy website (the other busts should be in comic and hobby shops soon). It is priced at $40 and is set to ship in November/December.
