Playmates Toys is considering shifting the focus of the World of Springfield toy line towards episode or theme-centered waves. We have seen this to some extent in past waves with Prison Bob and Busted Krusty coming out in the same wave as the Police Station playset. They would like some input on which episodes/themes collectors would prefer.

Take the poll and let them know what YOU want to see added to the upcoming World of Springfield lineup.

The World of Springfield Price Guide and Mark's World of Springfield Master List have been updated. Info from the Master List has also been integrated into the WoS Database (look for the "Show Mark's Masterlist Info" link). Our Playmates liaison Michael Crawford informs us that it "looks fairly unlikely that FOX is going to finalize the deal for the voice rights to the characters still out there by Tress MacNeille, which includes the extremely popular Agnes Skinner and Brandine, among others". He has set up an important poll inquiring whether people would be willing to buy voice-less figures of such characters under these circumstances. The results are important to Playmates, so cast your vote today.

Grand Theft Au-D'oh! revealed last week that Vivendi Universal Games is producing a Simpsons 'mission-based driving game', due out in September for the Xbox, GameCube, and PlayStation 2 systems. Their site states that "The game will mostly feature driving missions, but players will also be required to complete some on-foot missions as Homer, Bart, Apu, Marge, or Lisa. The game will feature 17 different drivers, including Cletus, Comic Book Guy, and Principal Skinner. More than 40 vehicles will be included in the game, including Cletus' pickup truck and Homer's Mr. Plow".

We've had some questions about New Force Comics and their Series 12 case assortments, so we wanted to set the record straight. Rick from New Force said that they "have gone through about 300 cases so far packing set orders, and all are the wave 12 only assortment (2 each of the 6 new ones)", meaning they didn't received any shortpacked cases with rereleases. New Force is shipping Series 12 now.

Tonight at 8PM/7C, David Byrne guest voices as himself when Homer's not particularly glowing song about Flanders becomes a big hit, and the Simpsons end up vacationing at a dude ranch, where Bart and Homer get between Native Americans and beavers. Followed by a rerun of "Barting Over" at 8:30PM.
