MORE NEWS: First...2..Last

This week is the Fall Mass Market Toy Expo (aka the Pre-Toy Fair) in NY- an early preview of 2004 plans for mass retailers and buyers. While the SCS will not have the type of across-the-board Simpsons coverage we have at the February show, we will still be covering the Playmates Toys presence there with the World of Springfield line. Stay tuned over the next few days for exciting tidbits and scoops.

I Must Only Use This Power To Annoy

Much appreciated good news for WoS collectors on the East Coast: SCS member "TRU Employee" informs us that the 5801 and 6301 warehouses (see our allocation chart for warehouse info) have THOH 4 shipments pending and they should be arriving later this week. So, unlike the TV show itself, you may yet get to celebrate Halloween before the end of the month.

Wake Up, Everybody!  It's World War Three!!!

When it rains, it pours in terms of new WoS items. The highly anticipated, super cool Simpsons Flashback set is in stock and arriving now from This set is an online-exclusive for TRU and won't be available in stores. The set is based on one of Matt Groening's favorite Ullman shorts entitled Punching Bag.

Stonecutter Mail-Away Offer Begins

With the arrival of Series 14 comes the start of a new mail-away promotion: the Stonecutters. The first one in the set is Stonecutter Moe (available by mailing in four Series 14 POPs) to followed by Krusty, Lenny, and Carl in Series 15-17 respectively. We have once again compiled a F.A.Q. for this offer. We hope it helps answer whatever questions you may have.

The folks at American Dream Comics have gotten another Simpsons picture scoop- the official prototype pic of the Power Plant Cafeteria set with Frank Grimes! Finally good ol' Grimey will get his due in the World of Springfield. This set is due out in January with Series 15. Thanks to member Veil1 for the heads up.

Hey Santa, What's Shaking?

The "Christmas With The Simpsons" special DVD hits stores today. It includes the episodes "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire", "Mr. Plow", "Miracle on Evergreen Terrace", "Grift of the Magi", and "She of Little Faith". The bonus feature is a video montage of C. Montgomery Burns' finest moments. This should be priced in the $9.99-$14.99 range.

Hamilton To Release Couch Gag Statues

Hamilton has annouced yet another new series, this one themed around the infamous Simpsons couch gags. The first issue ("Couch Classics") is being solicited for ordering now. Future issues include "Couch Undersea", "Couch Reverse Size", and "Couch Skeleton". Thanks to scotchtoberfest and dukenny for the info.

Mama Mia!  Series 14 Spottings!
