Flim Springfield, a site dedicated to stop-action animation shorts featuring the WoS figures, has updated with some new films, including a special New Years short. A number of other collectors have contributed past films to this site. Check them out or submit one of your own!

Be-Sharp Homer On Tour Across The U.S.

The Be-Sharps Homer figure, offered as a mail-away with the Series 10 figures, has started showing up across the USA. Playmates has set up a special inquiry site to check the status of your order if you need to do so. Keep in mind that this offer expires December 31, 2003 so there is still plenty of time to order one.

The 3rd Annual Blinky Awards, in which we honor the best of the World of Springfield line in 2002, is coming in January. We are currently accepting nominations for all the categories. Voting, done by members of the SCS forums, will commence after the New Year. We have previously done ceremonies for the 2000 and 2001 Blinky awards.

Series 11 Is Out!

UPDATE: There have also been numerous sightings at GameStop locations (including Babbages, Software Etc, etc.). The Courtroom playset has been showing up as well. This series should be at Target and other stores in the next week or two... read more

Mmmm, Cookie Doh's...

Recently SCS member SimpsonGeek was at a Bed, Bath, and Beyond and spotted a new food item called "Cookie Doh's!". They're shortbread cookies that come in four shapes, the heads of Homer, Bart, Apu, and Ralph Wiggum. They are a priced at $3.99 for a 12 ounce box. SCS member ArtCop1 also found a smaller two ounce box at Spencer's Gifts for $1.99.

Bobbleheads No Longer KB Exclusives?

Eric from Buffalo, NY sends word that he spotted the Homer and Krusty bobbleheads at a local Target. We confirmed this at a Target in New York City. These bobbleheads had previously been exclusives to KayBee Toys. Target has them for $9.99 instead of the $14.99 at KB.

Detailed Courtroom Pics And New 2003 Packaging!

The staff at American Dream Comics have another WoS picture scoop, this time the first detailed look at the upcoming Courtroom environment, due in January. The most important thing to note is that this look features the first time collectors have seen the new WoS packaging style for 2003.

MWC Reviews Simpsons Bendable Figures

A toy company called NJ Croce has launched what they plan to be an ongoing line of Simpsons bendable figures, each series with a different theme. On his review site tonight, Michael Crawford looks at the first series, which consists of the Simpsons family members. If the review is not on the front page make sure to check the Cartoon Reviews archive for the date 12/25/02.

Call Mr. Plow, That Name Again Is Mr. Plow...

The first ever prototype pictures of the WoS Series 12 figures have been revealed by Diamond Comics. Note that while their site states that the cat burglar Molloy is included in the series, Playmates replaced him with Number One. This series is due out in March and will be accompanied by the Bart's Treehouse playset.
