SCS moderator Michael Crawford just got caught up with his Simpsons reviews with his new review of the Kitchen and Krusty Burger playsets. Find out why he thinks these are some of the greatest playsets yet at his popular review site Michael's Review of the Week.

TheARNOLDFAN.com did a brief McBain-focused interview with Harry Shearer in which WoS toys were brought up. Harry doesn't know much about future plans for figures, but he seems keenly aware of the royalties he makes off of them. That includes "some money" if his voice is newly recorded and "pennies" if quotes from the show are used.

Member Number 908 interviewed Dark Horse for his Futurama Big Piece of Garbage web site and was also told about upcoming Simpsons items. They explain the process of making Pop-Out People, say the 10th set is based on "Call of the Simpsons," and that it will end the line for now. They're considering more Simpsons products, possibly based on Kang & Kodos and Blinky, and say a Simpsons Squishy toy will come out this Fall. Which character? They only hint, "Think plutonium...."

AisleSniper.com is offering a special free Simpsons figure promotion. Pre-order any set of new Simpsons toys and receive a free random Simpsons figure from Series 4-7. Simply enter Sniper Code: SCSPROMO-0102 during your check-out process to qualify. Offer ends January 31st or while supplies last. They are taking pre-orders for Series 7, in-stock shortly, and Series 8 at $34.99 per set.

Some Series 7 variants and errors have already begun appearing. Similar to Series 5's card printing errors, member JeffBagwellRules reports his Dolph's bubble insert has a sticker saying "We've created a diversion" placed over the typo "We're created a diversion." Member Dufftastic found one with no sticker and the typo visible. Now who would have expected a spelling error from a fine student like Dolph?

The wave 7 variations continue into the playset assortment. Reminiscent of Series 2's good book/hymn book variants, the Krusty Burger also has with and without sticker variations. As shown in member Darkstar's pictures above, the food cartons in some are labeled with stickers while some are not. So far most of the ones from Toys "R" Us and Target do not have stickers, while those from independent dealer Amazing Comics do.
